Census 2010

Completing the simple form for Census 2010 will allow your voice to be heard in Congress; you will help to create job opportunities for thousands of Americans; and you will help determine how much of the $300 billion dollars of federal funding will be distributed to your community. In 2010 the U.S. Census Bureau will issue a call to action for every resident of our nation: "Be Heard, Be Visible, Be Counted!"

The Governor’s Center for Local Government Services trains local government officials through the PA Local Government Training Partnership. The courses are designed to keep municipal officials current on new laws and legislative requirements and enhance their ability to govern more effectively. Training is provided through a partnership agreement with the local government associations.
Courses include instruction in the following areas:

  • Community & Economic Development
  • Environmental
  • Finance
  • Local Government Administration
  • Planning/Land Use
  • Public Safety
  • Recreation
  • Tax Collector
  • Uniform Construction Code
